With 4K TV’s slowly rolling out to living rooms across the country, there is a real lack of 4K content. Two companies are looking to deliver 4K videos in the most cost-effective way. LumaForge LLC, a world leader in optimizing 4K visual content and workflow, and SEIKI Digital, a leading high-definition, and 4K ultra-high-definition television brand, have teamed up to create the ‘4K Content Competition’.
Video submissions must be shot on a digital camera with a native sensor size of 3,840 by 2,160 pixels and must be longer than four minutes long. There are three different categories that filmmakers can enter in:
- 4K Narrative or Documentary
- 4K Sports & Action Award
- 4K Music Video Award
There will also be a fourth award for video with the most YouTube 4K Competition Channel views.
The 4K Content Competition is a great opportunity for filmmakers to get their work in front of a large audience as well as some pretty impressive industry folks who will be judging the competition, including Vincent Laforet.
Full competition rules and details can be found at www.4Kcompetition.com
If you’re interested in entering the competition but don’t have a 4K camera, Stray Angel Films is offering a 10% discount on any rental when you mention the 4K Content Competition.
