$500,000 Leica Summilux-C Lens Set Stolen in LA

Leica Summilux-C lenses are widely regarded as some of the very best glass you can shoot on. A set of 8 Summilux-C lenses are worth a whopping half a million dollars!

Unfortunately this past Sunday, an entire lens set was stolen off of a shoot in Los Angeles. Because the lenses are so rare and expensive, even the FBI has gotten involved.

The set of stolen Summilux-C lenses are owned by CPT Rentals in NY. They’ve put out all the serial numbers for the lenses in hopes that the filmmaking community can help find them.
