Last week, we were hired to produce a video for The Los Angeles Fund for Public Education. Some would say there is an epidemic in the Los Angeles Unified School District, with approximately half of local-area students considered overweight, and the Los Angeles Fund is working to counter this eye-opening trend. As obesity is considered the primary indicator of future health risks, it is so important to tackle systemic obesity early on.
One way to combat the issue in our school system is with a program called “School Fuel”. The School Fuel program will take breakfast into the classroom rather than just in the cafeteria. The idea is to boost academic performance while working to push back against this growing health crisis in our community.
We were ecstatic to lend a hand to this project. They are up for a $100k grant, and we would be so grateful if you could take a moment to vote for this worthy cause.
