Teradek is releasing a new wireless video transmitter, Spark, that will operate in the 60GHz range.
60GHz is advantageous to filmmakers because operating at the range should help eliminate interference from other devices. If you’ve ever used wireless video transmitters in a highly congested area, you know that this can be an issue. The only real caveat to 60GHz is that you will not be able to transmit through barriers like walls as well as other Teradek devices. The Spark only has a range of about 100 feet.
