Metabones lens adapters are some of our most popular rentals. Pretty much every time someone rents a Sony FS100 or FS700 from us they also want that Metabones adapter to go with it so they can use Canon glass effectively.
As a big fan of the company, we’re so pleased to announce that the Metabones Speedbooster is now available for rent at the time of writing. It has the same functionality as the original Metabones adapter allowing you to attach Canon glass to Sony cameras but has the added benefits of making your lenses both wider and faster.
The Speed Booster increases aperture by one full stop and also makes the lens .71x wider. This means that if you are shooting with a 50mm f/1.2 lens, this adapter essential makes it a 35mm f/0.9 lens. The added light can definitely make a use difference when in a low-light situation.
