These Nikkor lenses are vintage Nikon optics from the 1970s and 1980s which have been rehoused by Zero Optik, all with PL mounts, matching 95mm fronts, and matching focus / iris gear positions. The entire lens set will cover Full Frame sensors and beyond.
Vintage Nikon lenses deliver amazing performance without sacrificing character. They are some of the most flattering lenses you will ever shoot with. They are sharp, but with less micro contrast than most primes, which works so well when it comes to skin tones. Highlights tend to have a slight glow, and the faster lenses can deliver unique blooming effects and aberrations when shot wide-open. Each lens gives you two looks in one, simply by where you set the iris.
Speaking of the irises, the original designs were 7 and 9 straight blade irises, and they made bokeh distracting when stopped down. Zero Optik swapped them out for 14 blade irises that leave bokeh smooth, soft and never distracting regardless of what stop you are shooting at. These lenses offer the best attributes of vintage Nikon glass, and improvements only where it made sense.
