Every year in the Fall, GoPro releases a new member of the Hero family of action cameras. This year, filmmakers have a lot to be excited about in the Hero4, including 4K at useable frame rates and full manual image control.
Here is the spec chart for the new GoPro Hero4 Black Edition (via PetaPixel):
The Hero4 Black will give shooters the ability to mark key moments in the footage (making post easier). It also offers something filmmakers have wanted for a long time: full image control. You will now be able to manually control ISO, color, and exposure. These controls will be available in both photo and video mode. The Hero4 will also have improved audio, capturing 2x’s the previous model’s dynamic range.
You can also expect a Hero4 Silver Edition to be released. The Silver will only be able to shoot 4K up to 15fps, but it will have a built-in touch screen. Finally, it is being reported that all previous GoPro accessories and mounts will fit the new Hero4 cameras.
